SSC COMBINED GRADUATE LEVEL EXAMINATION 2016 - REVISED SCHEME OF EXAMINATION

 

SSC has declared that SSC CGL Tier I Exam will be conducted from 27th August 2016 as COmputer Based Test. Staff Seelction Commission has made certain changes to the pattern the CGL Exam 2016, which are as follows -

i) Number of questions in CGL Tier - I has been reduced to 100 from 200 questions and also time has been reduced to 75 minutes from the ealrier time limit of 120 minutes.

ii) Each of the four section, viz., Reasoning, Maths, English and General Awareness will have 25 questions each carrying 2 marks and 0.50 mark will be deducted as negative marking.

iii) There will be no change in the pattern or marks of SSC CGL Tier II Exam except for that it will be conducted online too.

iv) There is introduction of new tier by name Tier - III in CGL Exam and it will be descriptive in nature. It will contain questions on Easy/ Precis/ Letter/ Application writing and will be conducted both in English and Hindi. It will carry 100 marks and will be of 60 minutes.

v) For preparing final merit list marks in Tier I, Tier II and Tier III, all will considered. There will be no sectional cut-off.
